Morgan Lewis and Her Justice Partner to Help Crime Victims Gain Legal Status

In June 2014, Her Justice® Corporate Partner Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP initiated a Firmwide U Visa Project to provide important immigration relief to victims of crimes, such as domestic violence and other gender-based crimes, who assist law enforcement in the investigation or prosecution of the crime.

The project was launched with a two-hour firmwide training on the substantive law of U Nonimmigrant status (U visas) conducted by Carmen Maria Rey, Senior Immigration Attorney at Her Justice. The training was attended, either live or via WebEx, by over 80 attorneys in 17 offices of the firm. Lawyers who could not join the training in person or via webinar have the opportunity to view the recorded training.
